MLB COMMENTS FROM THE WEEK OF August 31- September 6
This week there were many impact in races. Mark Reynolds 40 homers, Wainwright 17 wins, and A-Rod's 2,500th hit. Things are shaping up to be a mighty tight September.
NL
Nothing gets more entertaining than the NL in September.
PLAYOFF PUSHERS: Phillies, Dodgers, Cardinals, Rockies, Giants, and the Braves.
The Cards and the Phills are lookin' real good. While in the NL West things are heating up. The Dodgers, Rocks, and Giants are all in a tight jet-stream in the NL West. The Rocks still have a one game lead over the Giants in the Wild Card, but don't forget about Atlanta! They're only 2-4 games back! I wouldn't be surprised if they catch on and steal this thing.
After Albert Pujol's 40th homer, bombs started to set off. Pena is BLAZING hot. At his pace he'll have 45+ home runs. Reynolds is slowly making a statement with 40+ big ones. Don't exclude Fielder though. With 37 bombs already.
AL
Dramatic, tight, and at sometimes, shocking. The AL in Sept. is going to be wild.
PLAYOFF PUSHERS: Angels, Tigers, Yankees, Red Sox, Rangers, and the Rays.
The Tigers are obviously going to win the AL Central. Why? BECAUSE THE AL CENTRAL IS DONE!!!!!!! The Tigers are the ONLY ones above .500 in that division! The Yanks and the Angels are roll. So that must mean that the teams to watch for are The Sox, Rangers, and Tampa.
The pitchers right now are stealing the show in the AL. 7 pitchers have 14 wins or more! That should be a record. Sometimes the MLB people are dumb and don't keep track.
Sorry, back to pitchers.
I believe the following are Cy Young candidate pitchers:
NL Wainwright, Carpenter, Lincecum, and Johnson (Josh)
AL Sabathia, Verlander, Feldman, Grienke, and Beckett
WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER 9/11/01, AND THE SORROW AROUND ALL OF BASEBALL. INCLUDING THE COLLAPSE OF THE NEW YORK YANKEES IN GAME 7 OF THE WORLD SERIES
Well that's all for this week. See you guys on the 11th. Remember the ones who we lost, and red hats! YAY!
